School Health

School Health

The School Health Team works in partnership with schools in Tower Hamlets to gain an understanding of the younger population’s health needs, medical requirements and to ensure the safeguarding and positive wellbeing of children.

We strive to improve the health of local children and young people by encouraging healthy lifestyles, promoting emotional health and wellbeing by providing support, prevention, interventions and advice in school and community settings. We prioritise safeguarding, child protection and any children who may be at risk.

Through a range of screening programmes, health promotion sessions and regular drop-in sessions, our team of nurses, nursery nurses and support workers aim to improve the physical, emotional and mental health of the children, young people and families within the community.
