What to do in a crisis

We are not able to provide support for people who are in immediate crisis. If you have immediate concerns about how you are feeling including if you feel at serious risk of harm or injury to yourself or others we advise you to:

  • Contact your GP
  • Call the Police or Ambulance service by dialling 999
  • Go to the Accident & Emergency at your local hospital

Other useful helplines

  • Samaritans: Call 116 123 (Freephone available 24 hour a day, 365 days a year for people in crisis)
  • Saneline: Call 0300 304 7000 (Available everyday from 4.30pm to 10.30pm for confidential mental health information, crisis care and emotional support)
  • No Panic: Call 0844 967 4848 (Available everyday from 10am – 10pm every day for people experiencing panic attacks, phobias and OCDs)
