We offer 6 month, paid, work placements for service users. Our focus is building confidence, for those ready and willing to learn…
We have created a unique, supported experience for service users; providing a 6 month paid work experience. The placement includes office skills training, practical experience, support and guidance.
As part of the program we assess each individual, learn about their experiences and create plans to allow them to progress. By tailoring the placements on a case- by -case basis, we ensure that the program is personal meet each of their needs.
We understand the importance of feeling part of a team, learning and creating work that they can feel proud of. Simultaneously, we understand the importance of developing structure and routine. We ensure our placements gain some practical skills that they can bring forward to future opportunities and help build confidence.
They graduate from us with a sense of achievement and we continue to support them after their placements with ad-hoc training and support in moving onto future opportunities.
Our monthly employability training supports service users with essential skills to get into work, education or training. We cover all the employability essentials, but with a holistic approach….
We have devised 10 employability training sessions, that have been tailored to support service users, coming from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
These sessions include ‘standard’ employability training, but embedded with a holistic, supportive approach. All learners contribute to our sessions and each person is made to fee heard and valued. We encourage individualism and respect with a non-judgemental approach to open discussions.
Regular sessions, in a open and friendly environment can provide a sense of purpose and encourage reintegration for service users willing to learn and grow.
As part of our support service for service users, we offer 3 levels of interpreting training and work opportunities….
As part of our service user training offer, we provide free interpreting training at level 1, 2 and 3.
This includes regular check-ins from our team to make sure they are motivated and happy with their learning experience. We catch up with learners regularly and aim to understand what support might help them, in terms of practical aid and words of motivation.
For those that complete level 3 training, we have created an opportunity for them to progress to paid employment. This gives them work experience in a professional environment and allows them to move straight into work that they have studied hard for.
We understand that gaining an official training qualification can build self esteem and create life opportunities for service users. This is something we are proud to offer.
