- Funded organisations should meaningfully involve young people with lived experience of homelessness in the development of their work and priority areas.
- The grant offers flexible, core funding to support the good work of organisations, which could include annual budget continuation, expansion, or adding new elements to the work or its results.
- The focus is on funding charities with annual incomes between £250,000 and £10 million, although proposals can be made by single applicants or partnerships of up to three organisations that will receive funding.

- The Shared Endeavour Fund is a grant programme that supports civil society initiatives in London that challenge racism, intolerance, hate, extremism, and terrorism both offline and online.
- The grant offers funding of up to £100,000 in three tiers for projects that raise awareness of the existence and impact of intolerance, hate, extremism, and terrorism, promote psychosocial resilience, empower Londoners to challenge intolerant or extremist attitudes and behaviours, and support frontline practitioners to prevent and counter intolerance, hate, extremism, and radicalisation in local schools and communities.
- Eligible applicants must be registered UK charities, companies limited by guarantee, not-for-profit registered community interest companies, charitable incorporated organisations, constituted community groups, or voluntary sector organisations, with a proven track record in this field.

- The Biffa 2024 Partnership Grants Scheme is a grant programme that funds charitable or non-profit organisations to restore, modernise and/or improve facilities such as cultural heritage or visitor centres (built environment projects) and restore and/or improve the environment and its natural systems or habitats that support it (natural environment projects).
- The grant offers funding of £250,000 to £1,000,000, with preference given to projects that engage with the public, are majority-funded by Biffa Award, and work in partnership with other organisations.
- Eligible applicants must be charitable or non-profit organisations with no share capital and fully constituted in accordance with registered UK regulations, located within 15 miles of a significant Biffa operation or active landfill site and whose project is not located on land scheduled for development or sale for biodiversity units.
- The project must meet several criteria, including having a signed lease with at least 25 years remaining for built environment applications, minimum of 104 days of full public access to the project per year, and comprehensive management plan in place for the key species/habitats involved for each site.

- The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is part of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £26 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
- Bedford Borough has been allocated £2,296,175 of funding from the UKSPF, which will be used for local projects across three themes: Communities and Place, Supporting Local Business, and People and Skills.
- The funding aims to strengthen social fabric and community connections, support the development and growth of local businesses, and invest in core skills provision to meet local needs and support people to progress into work.
- Bedford Borough Council invites applications for two specific grant schemes: the Community Infrastructure Grant Fund for capital investment in community and neighbourhood infrastructure projects, and the Cultural Grant Fund for revenue investment in local arts, cultural heritage, and creative activities.

Trauma-Specific Support Service for People with Complex Emotional Needs (Up to £180,000)
NHS England and NHS Improvement are seeking a single lead provider to work in partnership with voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to develop and deliver trauma-specific support for people with complex emotional needs (CEN) linked to a ‘personality disorder’ diagnosis and who have experienced trauma, such as sexual abuse, violence, or war-related trauma.
This contract, valued between £130,000 and £180,000, is aimed at improving community mental health services following the 2023/24 transformation priorities set out by the NHS. The project will be delivered in the Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, and Luton localities of the BLMK Health and Care Partnership.

The aim of the London Borough of Newham (LBN) Mental Health & Wellbeing Community Grant is to work with voluntary, community, faith sector (VCFS) organisations to strengthen the protective factors in our residents that help improve and support mental wellbeing. It will also help develop and strengthen the number of champions and peer supporters in communities around mental health and increase the understanding of local pathways and supporting services and materials. This is the third and final round of this funding.
What’s available:
- LBN are looking to fund between eight and ten organisations focusing on projects which address loneliness and social isolation, bereavement and grief, trauma, fear and anxiety and/or reducing mental health impacts caused by financial insecurity in addition to projects that strengthen men’s mental health. The maximum grant available for each organisation is £10,000 (total funding amount £60,000).
- LBN are looking to fund two settings/project sites (maximum grant £10,000 for each, total funding amount £20,000) to test out how to apply trauma-informed approaches with residents and staff.

This programme is for small local charities and community interest companies (CICs) with an income between £25,000 – £500,000 working with people who have faced inequity because of their race or ethnicity. Organisations can apply for a three-year unrestricted grant of £75,000.
This programme is for registered charities and community interest companies (CICs) working with people experiencing inequity because of their race or ethnicity. Your organisation will be led by the communities you serve and alongside providing immediate crisis support, you will work with people over the longer term to help them break free from poverty and achieve their potential.
We are only accepting applications from organisations based outside London.

There are five themes to this fund and organisations must apply under one of these. Grant Amount: Grants of £200 to £5,000 will be available to support local organisations delivering activities under the following themes:

- Theme 3: Neighbourhood Action. To promote local neighbourhood initiatives
- Theme 4: Community Cohesion. To develop community resilience, promote cultural opportunities and reduce social isolation

Fund Priorities: This theme aims to support voluntary and community sector groups which are trusted by their communities to provide support, referral and informal advocacy services, connecting residents to the services that might best meet their needs and provide wider intelligence on the needs of their community. The Fund is seeking to support activities that will enable community groups to act as a source of information and signposting and also activities that will help small organisations act as informed advocates on behalf of the communities they represent.
The Access and Participation theme will only support organisations that show at least 50% of their trustees/committee/board members are from Black, Asian and Multi-Ethnic (BAME) communities.
Organisations with an annual turnover in excess of £250,000 are not eligible to apply to this theme and priority will be given to organisations with a turnover of less than £50,000 per annum.

Tower Hamlets Social Prescribing Community Chest Pilot Fund
NHS North East London has established the Social Prescribing Pilot Fund to pilot and test activities supporting people’s health and well-being. Projects should be able to establish swiftly, prioritise referrals from social prescriber link workers and provide an evaluation by September 2023.

Tower Hamlets Council Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Summer 2023 Programme
East End Community Foundation are administering the Tower Hamlets Council Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme on behalf of the council. The HAF Programme is designed to increase the number of disadvantaged children accessing free holiday provision during the 2023 Summer Holiday period. The Programme aims to support children to eat healthier, take part in physical activity, and to reduce the impact of social isolation.
The primary focus of the Programme will be engaging and supporting children eligible for Free School Meals. These activities must last for a minimum of 4 hours per day and for a minimum of 8 days over the summer holiday. The deadline for submitting the application is 4 pm on Monday 22nd May 2023.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), NHS England, NHS Improvement (NHSEI) and system partners are seeking applications from VCSE sector organisations for the next round of the Health and Wellbeing Fund.
The theme of the 2022 to 2025 fund is women’s reproductive wellbeing in the workplace. Linking in with the development of the new Women’s Health Strategy, this fund aims to support VCSE organisations who can provide a holistic support offer to assist women experiencing reproductive health issues (for example, menopause, fertility problems, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, menstrual health and gynaecological conditions) to remain in and return to the workplace.
Funding of between £200,000 to £600,000 per applicant is available over a period of three financial years to expand or develop projects or programmes in areas outlined in the information pack. Applications with a commitment secured for additional funding will be prioritised but all applications will be considered.

The Morrisons Foundation recognises that homeless people are particularly vulnerable to Covid-19 because they are more likely to have underlying health conditions and are less able to access basic sanitation.
Homelessness charities are raising concerns that if someone is sleeping rough or in a crowded night shelter, it’s impossible to self-isolate and maintain social distance so help is needed more than ever before.
In response to this, the Morrisons Foundation Trustees have pledged £500,000 towards the Homeless Support Fund. The fund is designed to support charities caring for the homeless during the coronavirus outbreak and ensure help gets to those who need it most.
Who Can Apply?
Registered charities that care for the homeless can apply for support to cover three broad areas:
- Outreach and support for rough sleepers, including provision of essentials
- Delivery of services in hostels and shelters
- Information and advice
To be considered for a grant from the COVID-19 Homeless Emergency Fund applicants should:
- Be registered with the Commission/OSCR for a minimum of one year and have filed their documents (i.e. Trustee’s Reports and Financial Accounts) on time
- Work directly with homeless people and provide support of one (or more) of the areas the fund cover
- Accept payment electronically over the phone (i.e. by Credit Card or BACS)

One Newham in partnership with Westfield Stratford City URW Better Places 2030 programme is offering organisations with a turnover of less than £50,000 an opportunity to apply for a small grant of up to £500.
Grants are on offer to help with essential equipment or improve your organisations governance or develop a social media presence. Successful applicant organisations will also have the opportunity to have a mentoring session with a Westfield Stratford City employee to provide support and guidance on a specific field related to their application i.e. Marketing, Finance, Legal, Health and Safety etc.
Who Can Apply?
- Groups based in London Borough of Newham and providing services primarily to London Borough of Newham residents.
- Have at least 2 people who are not related, who oversee the group.
- Either have a dedicated bank account for the group, or if not, are able to produce a record of income and expenditure for the group accompanied by receipts.
- Have a turnover of under £50,000 a year, or a projected turnover of less than that amount.
- Be established for at least a year and can provide two independent references.

Founded in 2008, Costello Medical provides scientific support to the healthcare industry in the analysis, interpretation and communication of clinical and health economic data. Alongside supporting pharmaceutical and MedTech companies, we provide our services to non-profit organisations free-of-charge on a pro bonobasis.
Our team have a specific interest in supporting non-profit organisations that work in mental health and are therefore offering a total of £100,000 of work, free-of-charge, to support up to three non-profit organisations with projects in mental health. Please note that we do not offer funding. Projects should be ready to start in early 2023 and feasible to complete within 6 months.
To apply for our support, please complete and submit the form on our website. The deadline for applications is Monday 24th October (23:59 BST). Projects will then be short-listed and we may contact you for further information or to arrange an informal discussion. Up to three short-listed organisations will be selected to partner with the Costello Medical team on their proposed project.

The Wakefield & Tetley Trust is offering small grants to charities and constituted community groups with a turnover of less than £300,000. The Trust is offering Grants of £500 to £5,000 to:
- Support urgent work with marginalised individuals and communities most affected by the effects of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis
- Funding core activities and services to enable organisations working with vulnerable communities to adapt or maintain their work to adjust to the ongoing pandemic. We are unlikely to support new projects or work where there is no track record of delivery
- Making a practical difference to the work/ people at the organisation.
Many people are affected by the pandemic and the costs of living crisis, the Trust is willing to support those who are most likely to need support including:
- Carers
- Disabled people
- People from Black, Asian, and Multi-Ethnic communities
- Refugees
- people with no recourse to public funds
- people in manual or insecure work
- families affected by domestic violence and abuse
- people experiencing poor mental health
- people living alone and isolated.
The Trust has limited funds for so will make a small number of grants by invitation only. The grants will be announced on the website.

The Mayor of London is offering community-led organisations funding and support to make a change in public spaces, offering grants from £1,000 to £25,000.
Untold Stories provides organisations with an opportunity to test, develop, grow, and create projects which shares the communities’ stories with the city, the fund aims to support projects:
- Create new objects (such as murals, artworks, plaques, benches, gardens, play areas) that increase diversity and representation in London’s public spaces,
- Projects that provide context, insight or draw attention to invisible, contested, or absent diverse heritage in London’s public spaces.
There are two types of funding available:
- Test and Nurture fund: Grants of £1,000 to £5,000 (plus up to £1,000 for additional access costs),
- Grow and Make Happen fund: Grants of £5,000 to £25,000 (plus up to £2,000 for additional access costs),

Shine Bright Funding (£1,000 to £15,000 available per scheme)
Shine Bright Funding
The Shine Bright grants are to provide relief, respite and happiness at a time of anxiety and worry.
The grants are awarded to regional charity partners to purchase educational and art materials, such as toys, books and emotional support for young people aged 16 and under who have been challenged by abuse, addiction, homelessness, or those who are child carers.
The fund is only for charitable organisations with a turnover below £1.5million.
As part of the Star Start funding, breakfast clubs can receive grants between £1,000 to £15,000 per partner.
The grant is to tackle child food poverty escalated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Applicant organisations must be based in London and have a turnover of below £500,000.
Applications for all three of the above 7Stars Foundation funds will be open for applications between:
- 1 June 2022 to 31 July 2022 for September funding review
- 1September 2022 to 30 October 2022 for December funding review
- 1 December 2022 to 31 January 2023 for February funding review

Trust for London is offering seven funding programmes which tackles poverty and inequality in the Capital.
It is keen to support work providing greater insight into the root causes of London’s social problems and how they can be overcome, activities which help people improve their lives, work empowering Londoners to influence and change policy, practice, and public attitudes.
The seven funding programmes include:
- Good Homes and Neighbourhoods
- Better work
- Decent living standards
- Shared wealth
- Pathways to Settlement
- Stronger voices
- Connected Communities
The Trust is keen to fund organisations undertaking charitable activities, organisations do not need to be a registered charity.
The Trust primarily supports small and medium- sized organisations, usually within an expenditure of less than £2 million a year.
There is no minimum or maximum size in the request of funding, however the average grant will be around £80,000 in total.
The amount may be spread over one, two or three years. The funding guideline details all the relevant information and is available on the Funding programme page.
