Help strengthen cross-sector relationships around health activity in Newham
(Invitation to develop the framework)
Compost London CIC, Compass Wellbeing CIC and One Newham
Eligibility: Local voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations and faith groups. Applicant groups must be based-in and/or delivering services in the relevant borough.
Application deadline: 9am 7/11/2022
The Council would like to invite representatives from the voluntary, community and faith sector in Newham to participate in the co-production of a framework for good working relationships between the sector and statutory partners, with a particular reference to health and health inequality. The proposal is being led by the Public Health team who have secured sign up from other statutory partners including the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), Barts Trust, Adult Social Care and the GP federation in Newham. The aim is to build on the positive working relationships built during the pandemic response.
There will be a two-stage process to develop the framework:
- a working group with reps from both sectors will develop a draft of the framework
- the framework will then be shared across both sectors for further feedback prior to formal sign off.
Anyone in the sector who is interested in representing the sector at the working group is now invited to put themselves forward. The aim is to have a maximum of 10 representatives for the sector. Priority will be given to representatives from groups or organisations who support residents with health and wellbeing related matters and groups who have been involved in collaborative projects with other groups over the last 2 years. Please only put forward one name as a representative for your group. If there is an excess of suitable applicants, names will be drawn at random.
You will be asked to attend the workshop and review a draft by email.
The workshop will take place at 2- 3.30pm on Wednesday November 23rd. Venue to be confirmed but ideally in person.
Compost London CIC, Compass Wellbeing CIC and One Newham are working together to recruit representatives for this workshop. If you would like to apply or have any questions, please contact anne@compostlondon.org.uk by 9am on Monday November 7th.
