From 2021 to 2023, Compass Wellbeing ran 19 funding programmes (consisting of 65 separate lots) and granted over £11.7 million in funding to VCSEs. These funds have supported 224 projects.

Recognising the influence and impact of our VCSE contract partners. As a result of the funding made available through Compass Wellbeing procurement programmes, VCSEs have achieved remarkable results and positive change in the communities with which they work.

Compass Wellbeing work with statutory services to procure grant programmes and posts to the local VCSE sector using a simple, straightforward approach.

We aim to add value to procurement processes between statutory service commissioners and local voluntary and community sector organisations including, for example, those linked to community mental health transformation.

Compass Wellbeing is agile and responsive in supporting VCSEs, particularly those that are small or very small, in applying for transformation funding as it arises. We mobilise quickly using a straightforward contracting approach. Acting as a bridge, we aim to improve connectivity between VCSE provided services and statutory/ NHS services to ensure that the former are recognised as important elements of transformed models of care.

offers support to VCSEs in formalising their charitable status (e.g. to register, develop accounts, report to funders, meet evaluation criteria, establish / scale themselves for the future, offer interim consultancy contracts with CWB and market scoping)
offers work experience and placement support to service users
